Website Terms of Use
Effective date: July 5, 2026 · Version 1.0
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites located at ownsig.com and its subdomains, including the pages describing our products, pricing, documentation, system status, and blog (collectively, the “Site”), operated by OwnSig Inc. (“OwnSig”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or browsing the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Use of the OwnSig software service itself (the application behind sign-in) is governed separately by the End User License Agreement and, for organisations, any master subscription agreement executed with us. If there is a conflict between those agreements and these Terms with respect to the service, those agreements control.
1. Permitted use of the Site
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view the Site for your personal or internal business evaluation purposes. You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, or systematically harvest content from the Site except as permitted by robots.txt;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site other than through our published responsible-disclosure process;
- interfere with the operation of the Site, including by imposing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, or frame or mirror the Site;
- use the Site to develop a competing product or for benchmarking disclosed publicly without our written consent.
2. Intellectual property
The Site and all content on it — text, graphics, logos, product names, page designs, screenshots, documentation, and software — are the property of OwnSig or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. “OwnSig”, the OwnSig mark, and “Penna” are trademarks of OwnSig Inc. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks without prior written permission.
3. Content and no advice
Site content — including the knowledge base, deliverability guidance, plan comparisons, and pricing — is provided for general information. It may be updated at any time and may not reflect the most current state of the service. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, compliance, or professional advice. Statements about compliance frameworks (for example SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, or GDPR) describe our design goals and programme status as stated at the time of publication; current compliance documentation is available through our trust portal on request.
4. Accounts and purchases
Creating an account, starting a trial, or purchasing a subscription is subject to the EULA and any order form or subscription terms presented at purchase. Monthly self-serve plans carry no commitment and can be cancelled at any time with service continuing to the end of the paid month; annual self-serve plans are prepaid at a 20% discount and run to the end of their term. Pricing shown on the Site is indicative and may change; the price stated at checkout or in your order form controls.
5. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites (for example identity providers, HR systems, or CRM vendors we integrate with). We do not control and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
6. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data through the Site is described in the Privacy Policy. The Site does not use third-party advertising trackers.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OWNSIG DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OWNSIG WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100).
9. Changes
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict of laws rules. The exclusive venue for disputes arising out of these Terms is the state and federal courts located in Delaware, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction there. If you access the Site from the European Union or United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer protections available to you under local law.
